Pre-Restoration Exterior Status Evaluation - Full Exterior Restoration

Built in 1921, this multi-use building is a prominent feature on the Johnson City skyline.

The exterior of the building was in need of restoration due to water intrusion, falling debris, structural instability of the cornice and parapet walls, expired protective coatings and incomplete prior repairs.

Glass & Concrete Contracting was able to efficiently access the vertical surfaces of the building to complete necessary repairs.

Exterior restoration work included replacement of detached surface bonding cement; tear-down and re-building of masonry parapet walls; installation of steel cradle trusses and parapet braces to support cornice system; window unit waterproofing; masonry cleaning and restoration; tuckpointing; and protective coatings for roof, cornice and East and South walls.
